This was an award (Second Place) in the InFLAMES PiF image competition announced in Fiskars on 19.8.2026, and the theme of the completion was \u201cWork-related non-work\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About this picture:<\/strong> Our group had a barbecue party after work on June 26th, 2026 in Koroistenniemi, which is said to be the start of Turku city at 800 years ago. We got caught by rain, we had to put on a umbrella for the barbecue to rescue the 1.5 kg steak. At the end, the steak tasted exceptionally good with the flavor of Turku summer rain.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

PhD researcher Jonne Kunnas received an award for best talk in his session at the FinPharmaNet annual meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PhD researcher Petter L\u00f6vdahl<\/strong> received a prestigious award from the Finnish Pharmaceutical Society (Suomen farmaseuttinen yhdistys). The award is to recognize excellent master\u2019s degree thesis work in the field of pharmacy, and only one student can receive this award from one university per year. Petter completed his MSc in Pharmacy (proviisori) from \u00c5bo Akademi University in 2025. His thesis work was conducted in a collaboration project between the Pharmaceutical Sciences Laboratory at \u00c5bo Akademi University and Turku PET Centre at the University of Turku, under supervision of Prof. Jessica Rosenholm and Associate Prof. Xiang-Guo Li. Petter is currently working towards his Doctor of Pharmacy (FaD) degree within the same collaboration framework. Congratulations Petter!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

28.11.2024:<\/strong> Pyry and Xiang received the innovation award in InFLAMES Idea Competition. InFLAMES Flagship (https:\/\/inflames.utu.fi<\/a>) is a large research platform for immunology research and new drug development. InFLAMES promotes the transformation of research finding into innovative medicinal products for commercialization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
